Brits-Kreiling Piano Duo

In 2005 I met Janneke Brits at a music festival in Switzerland. Six years later we were married and we have been performing together ever since. It certainly takes a special relationship to perform 4 hands repertoire, especially on one piano where you are constantly in each others way. There is a real art to performing repertoire for piano four hands and for two pianos. Over the years we have performed most of the repertoire, specialising in transcriptions of early twentieth-century orchestral works.

We have recently begun making our own transcriptions, most notably Stravinsky’s 'The Firebird’ for two pianos which we performed in the London Piano Festival in October 2025. We have recently completed a four hands one piano transcription of Scriabin’s ‘Poem of Ecstasy’, video coming soon… (hopefully)…
