Sunday Night at the Asylum

Since 2018 we have presented a successful performance series each year based on our shared ethos of widening access to the arts through performances of the highest professional level, whilst providing performance opportunities for young emerging performers. Each performance presents a wide range of music (classical, folk, world, jazz, contemporary) and art forms (drama, dance, poetry, mime, film, photography), all curated around a theme . Our work develops new audiences across art forms by bringing together music, dance, drama, and art lovers from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

At a time when people are isolated and cultural and social divides are becoming increasingly troubling, we believe that it is the role of the arts to bring people together through celebrating the values, emotions, and interests we share. We place all art forms and genres on an equal footing; our programmes exploring the similarities and differences between different forms of music, poetry, drama, and dance from a diverse range of artists, showing all to be emotionally engaging, stimulating, and inspiring. In doing so, we bring together audiences from seemingly disparate backgrounds through the spirit of serious artistic expression.
